Literary Festival

The Literary events have become an important and enjoyable part of the festival. In the past we've had: JOHN LYDON, RAT SCABIES, GLEN MATLOCK, JAH WOBBLE, JORDAN, PENNY & STEVE (CRASS), STEVE & COLIN (Cock Sparrer), MONKEY, STEVE DIGGLE, DON LETTS, WATTIE, ANIMAL, PAULINE MURRAY, JELLO BIAFRA, CAPTAIN SENSIBLE, MICK ROSSI (Slaughter & The Dogs) and many many more.

2022 saw us launch the LITERARY FESTIVAL in its brand new home. The Blackpool Conference and Exhibition Centre is a newly opened, purpose built events venue. It is the first major building development to happen on the Winter Gardens complex since the construction of the Opera House in 1939.

The new building is one of the largest venues of its kind in the north of England. It is split over two floors, with an exhibition space on first floor and a conference space with a capacity of 2000 on the second floor.

With space for the Literary Festival and our Arts & Craft market,  this has been an amazing addition to the Winter Gardens.
